9/13/23 – This is a SxS Double Barrel Hammer 10ga Shotgun, manufactured by LC Smith between 1877-1888 in Syracuse, New York. Featuring 32″ barrels, this shotgun is unique uses a unique breach opening mechanism, not with a lever on top but by instead pushing the front trigger forward. The metal on the shotgun is clean with no active rust or pitting. The metal has patina all throughout the receiver and barrel. The receiver has no markings on the outside, but under the breech has the patent dates and the serial number. The barrel is also stamped with the serial number on the bottom, along with the forend which also has a patent on it. The bore is bright, but there are spots of pitting throughout.
