1/12/22 – This is an original WW1 German bayonet for the Gewehr 98. The bayonet features a “butcher” style blade. The spine is proof stamped and 1916 dated. The base of the blade is maker stamped. There’s some mild patina and surface discoloration in a few spots on the blade, but overall the blade is in great shape. No signs of sharpening. The handle has patina and discoloration throughout the metal portion. The wood handles are in great shape. Comes with a scabbard that has a few small dents and surface wear throughout.
