1/7/22 – This is a nice example of a Remington Rand Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1942-43. It has a rare Union Switch & Signal Slide and a High Standard barrel. The frame is “United States Property” marked and has a cross-canon military cartouche on the right side near the tang. It has retained roughly 70-75% of its parkerzied finish. Generally, there is thinning in the finish throughout and splotchy discoloration on both sides of the frame. There are small dots of oxidation and tiny pits here and there along the slide. A few tiny dings on the right side of the slide. The front strap has a custom added stippling pattern. Comes with excellent period-correct grips and an S-marked WW2 magazine. The bore is near-mint.
