4/12/22 – This is an original WW2 production Type 30 bayonet for an Arisaka T38 or T99 rifle. The bayonet features an excellent, near mint condition blade. Beautiful finish throughout with only a small area of surface patina / wear in the blood groove on one side. Maker stamped on the ricasso. The hand guard and pommel both have some light brown patina and minor edge wear. The wood handle has no significant cracks or chips, but there is some typical signs of aging. The metal scabbard has surface patina throughout and a few small dents, but fits the blade nicely.
