1/26/23 – This is an original Type 30 Arisaka rifle bayonet by Aisan Arsenal. The bayonet has earlier wartime features, such as a contoured wood grip with screws and washers, bird’s head pommel, hooked crossguard, and a blued, fullered blade. The blade has dark surface patina and light finish loss. The edge is in great shape with no signs of misuse. The crossguard and pommel have dark patina and edge wear, but no rust or pitting. The wood grips have a few dents and imperfections but are still in very good condition. Serial numbered and inspection stamped on the pommel. Comes with a metal ball-tipped scabbard that has dark patina throughout, as shown. Variation B, LB-137 in Labar’s book.
