6/20/24 – This is a WW2 original Japanese Type 30 rifle bayonet. The bayonet features a blued, fullered blade that’s maker stamped by Kaneshiro, a subcontractor under Toyoda supervision. The blade has minimal finish loss and some light surface patina mostly located near the tip of the blade. The edge is clean throughout. The straight crossguard has light finish loss, while there’s more concentrated finish loss found on the bird’s head pommel. The grips are 2 piece contoured wood with screws and washers. Comes with a black painted ball tipped scabbard in great overall condition. Attached to the scabbard is a rare leather frog in excellent condition.
