11/2/22 – This is a very nice example of a Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in November of 1944. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 88” military acceptance proofs throughout. There is also a “BH” marking on the left side of the frame, indicating this gun then went to the Austrian military after WW2. It has retained about 94% of its finish. There is minor muzzle wear, wear at the front edges of the slide, an area of wear on the underside of the trigger guard, minor thinning on the front strap, and some light scratches on the right side of the slide. Comes with post-war black plastic grips and an electro pencil-numbered magazine that is not matching to the gun. The rifling in the bore is fairly worn with noticeable pitting in the grooves. De-cocker is functional. Import mark on the barrel.
