12/19/22 – This is a fairly rare Kongsberg Model 1914 that was manufactured in 1945, following the defeat and removal of the German forces. There were only about 2,300 pistols completed after the war, all from remaining parts, so it’s very common to see partial overstamps on serial numbers from guns completed after the Nazi occupation. This gun is all matching. The number on the thumb safety may have been reapplied. The entire gun has been restored and refinished. Generally, there is wear around the high edges and some areas of minor thinning, most noticeable on the right side of the slide and on the front strap. Fitted with very nice correct grips – on the right side, there is some minor bruising and a small crack near the bottom screw. Comes with a refinished magazine. The rifling in the bore is a bit worn with frosting throughout.
