10/24/23 – This is a nice example of a scarce, type 1 Inland M1A1 Paratrooper carbine. A full parts list is included in the photos of this listing, but the rifle has all original Inland parts. Original folding stock but it does have a Rock Island Arsenal cartouche on the side. While the stock features this marking, there are no clear signs of rework on this rifle. The finish on metal parts is original, the rear flip sight is intact and not staked, and the barrel clearly shows no bayonet lug was ever attached. The metal finish is very good overall with minor wear on the front sight and along the right wall of the receiver. The wood furniture is in good condition aside from a small crack on the left side, where the metal attachment screws in. Excellent bore with minimal signs of use. Comes with canvas sling.
