11/15/22 – This is an excellent example of a Remington Rand Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1944. It is properly “United States Property”-marked, has the correct “FJA” military inspector proof, and has the proper cross-canon military cartouche on the right side of the frame. High Standard barrel. It has retained about 96-97% of its original parkerized finish. There are areas of minor wear on the high edges of the slide, around the very front edge of the frame, and on the underside of the trigger guard. While there is very little actual finish loss, there is noticeable dark brown patina on the front strap and spotty oxidation on the back strap. There areas of obvious splotchy discoloration on both sides of the gun, most noticeable on the right side. Comes with excellent grips and one proper magazine. The bore is excellent with strong rifling.
