12/31/20 – This is an excellent example of a Variation 2, Remington Rand M1911A1 issued to the US Military in 1943. This one is in the correct serial range to have the early slide legend “Remington Rand Inc, Syracuse, NY, USA”. It is “United States Property” marked and has the correct cross-canon cartouche. It has retained about 97% of its original Dulite finish. There is some minor thinning on the front strap and top of the slide. There is some wear around the muzzle and underside of the frame. Spotty oxidation throughout. It has excellent grips and a period-correct magazine. High Standard barrel. Minty bore indicating little use.
