8/21/23 – This is a rare Remington 121 Fieldmaster with Routledge bore, one of only 3,000 produced. The Routledge bore is a smoothbore rifle for use with rimfire shot, or a .22 caliber rifled bore that transitions to .400 smoothbore. The bluing on the rifle is excellent with around 95% remaining, as there isn’t much bluing loss. There is minor oxidation on much of the rifle though, and a couple minor patches of pitting on the barrel. Minty bore. Smooth action. Serial makes this one of the last ones ever produced. Nice wood furniture with minor handling wear and scrapes. Original Remington buttplate.
