5/24/24 – This is a rare WW2 German Hitler Youth (DJ) Short Dress Bayonet. This example is in excellent condition and comes with an original scabbard and leather frog. The bayonet features a shiny nickel plated blade that’s in excellent condition overall. There’s a few spots of speckling discoloration and small surface scuffs / scratches from handling, but no major issues. The edge is clean and unsharpened. The base of the blade is maker stamped by PUMA, as shown. The original leather stopper is still intact and excellent. There’s mild patina on the hand guard and pommel. The grips are excellent with sharp diamond patterns on each panel. The front-facing panel has a Hitler Youth emblem in the center. The emblem has some cracking but is still in very good condition and completely intact. The scabbard has a black enameled painted finish with some small blemishes. The leather frog is unmarked. These are often found in far worse condition, as Hitler Youth often used / abused these relics (kids will be kids).
