7/27/21 – This is a nice example of a Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in December of 1943. The gun is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 88” military proofs. It has retained about 90% of its finish. There is wear on the front strap, on the high edges of the slide, and around the muzzle. Areas of wear on the right side of the slide. There are areas of what appears to be a combination of pitting and casting flaws on both sides of the slide. Minor oxidation and patina on the front strap. Comes with excellent grips and a period-correct magazine. The bore is very shiny with strong rifling with freckling throughout. De-cocker is functional.
