7/9/24 – This is an original WW2 German Nazi Party Leader Visor Cap. The cap features light blue piping for “Ortsgruppenleitung” level, equivalent to a small city or town (local group) leader. The tan colored exterior wool-weave construction is excellent with no holes or notable stains. The piping shows natural age but no holes or chewed areas. Clean light brown velvet center band and a chocolate brown vulcanfiber visor. Front center cockade has high edge wear and honest surface patina. Natural aging and traces of gold anodized finish on the oak leaf wreath. The eagle has traces of silver coloring within the grooves and details, with high edge wear and natural patina throughout. All metal fixtures are non-magnetic. Excellent gold woven chorded chinstrap attached. The interior leather headband is still attached and complete but the stitching has become loose in areas, overall about 30% detached. The gold colored liner is in great shape overall, but has a rip along the upper-left edge of the celluloid covering. Some loose and missing stitches along the edge of the celluloid as well. Maker marked and size 56 as shown.
