2/24/22 – This is a near-mint example of an Ithaca Model 1911A1 manufactured in 1943. This particular gun was apart of the British Lend-Lease Program during WW2, as evidenced by the British proofs on the right side of the gun and barrel, “Released British Govt 1952” marking, and faint “Not English Make” marking on the right side of the frame. Flannery barrel. The gun has retained nearly all of its parkerized finish. There are just the slightest hints of wear on some of the high edges and some tiny dots of discoloration on both sides of the frame. Comes with excellent period-correct grips and an un-marked magazine. The bore has decent rifling, but there is minor pitting in some of the grooves.
