11/29/22 – This is a minty example of a Colt Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1944. It is “United States Property” marked, has the proper “GHD” inspector initials, and has a military cross-canon cartouche on the right side of the frame. It also comes with a correct “Colt 45 Auto” barrel with a small “F” under the lug. The gun has retained about 97% of its original parkerized finish with just very minor wear on the high edges. A few tiny dots of discoloration here and there. Comes with excellent reddish-brown plastic grips and one period-correct “S” marked magazine. The bore has strong rifling with just a hint of frosting in the grooves.
