02/27/2024 – For sale is a K98k “Kriegsmodell” made by Mauser in late 1944. This rifle is in great overall condition and retains the majority of its original finish. This rifle is matching on the receiver and bolt. The L serial block production (December 1944) of byf K98ks was when Kriegsmodells began entering production according to “Kriegsmodell vol III” book by Michael Steves and Bruce Karem and this rifle features many Kriegsmodell features. This rifle does appear to have been re-stocked though, with bands replaced. The bore of the rifle is excellent with great rifling and is bright.
