3/29/19 – Mauser began producing the Luger in 1934, and they only produced about 10,000 of them that year. These were designated with the letter code “K”. This one comes with an original 1934 dated holster, and a correctly marked, but reproduction loading tool – O/37 proofed. Holster is in excellent condition. Now for the gun – it has a few issues, so I will go over it in detail. It is very rare to find one with all original parts and finish as these were most often re-worked or otherwise “messed with”. The numbered parts are all matching and all small parts also have the appropriate S proofs, unless otherwise noted. So first, I believe the sideplate has been replaced and numbered to match (the font is a bit “off” from what would be original numbering). The magazine is matching but it has definitely been re-numbered to match. Firing pin and hold open are both correct. Both grips are small digit “35” numbered but no ‘S’ marks on them. The best part of the gun is the finish, as these are hardly ever found in such good condition. I would rate the original finish in about 97% condition, with only minor holster wear on the high edges. The straw color small parts are excellent. Overall, a very nice example of a rare luger with just a few”issues” as noted.
