11/19/21 – This is a scarce and very cool Colt M1917 revolver from 1919. The vast majority of these were retired from military service between the wars, but this one is parkerized with Augusta Arsenal marking, indicating it likely served in World War II. The finish shows some high edge wear but most of the wear is on the grip frame. Excellent, shiny bore. Barrel is marked ‘UNITED STATES PROPERTY’. Very nice, period original grips that are unmarked.
