3/4/24 – This is an original, early WW2 production Type 30 Japanese Rifle Bayonet by Tokyo Arsenal. The bayonet has early features: Bright, fullered blade, hooked cross guard, contoured wood grips with 2 oval washers and circular screws, bird’s head pommel, and a metal ball-tipped scabbard. Known as a Variation A in Labar’s book. The blade is in minty condition, with very little surface wear, unsharpened edge. The cross guard and pommel have light patina throughout but no rust or pitting. The scabbard has a dark surface patina throughout. The pommels serial number is 73752.
