10/12/23 – This is an excellent Smith and Wesson Victory revolver from World War II. All matching, with the proper “US Property GHD” marking on the top strap. These were typically used as standard issued side arms for US Navy and Marine air crews due to their size and ease of operation. The revolver has retained about 96% of its original parkerized finish. There is just minor high edge wear, some very minor wear on the back strap, and some areas of discoloration on the right side of the frame and on the back strap. Some very light scuffs here and there. Fitted with excellent period-correct wood grips – the right panel is numbered but mismatched. Mint bore.
