11/28/22 – This is an excellent example of a Mauser Model 1914, chambered in 7.65mm. It is all matching and has the proper “Double Crown U” proofs. This one also has a small Imperial military proof on the top of the slide, indicating it was issued to an Imperial German officer during WW1. It comes as a rig with a nice un-marked chocolate leather holster and two proper magazines. The gun itself has retained about 96% of its original finish with minor wear around the muzzle and some of the high edges. Although there isn’t much actual finish loss, there are areas of light spotty oxidation along both sides of the slide and on the underside of the frame. Comes with a very nice period-correct wood grip – no cracks or chips. Excellent bore with strong rifling.
