4/20/23 – This is a nice example of an AC 45 Walther P.38 made at the very end of WW2. This is a GI mismatched gun, put together by an American GI when the Walther factory was liberated. The parts are mismatched and in the proper “c-d” serial block, correct for this variation. It also only has one “Eagle 359” military acceptance proof on the right side of the slide, indicating it was never issued. This one also has a rare “Eagle 140” marked frame, indicating it was manufactured at the FN factory. This particular gun has retained about 90-03% of its finish. There is wear around the muzzle, thinning on the front strap, and some spots of discoloration on the right side of the slide. While there isn’t much actual finish loss, there is light brown patina throughout and some tiny handling marks here and there. Fitted with very nice blackish-brown bakelite grips and comes with a fairly worn jvd magazine. The bore is mint. De-cocker functions properly.
