3/1/22 – This is an original Colt Government Model 1911 from 1916. The lustrous Colt blue is original but has obviously seen better days, with wear on all major surfaces and some freckling on the right side of the slide. Has a WW2 Colt barrel which has good rifling but a little frost throughout. Excellent, sharply checkered grips. Magazine is blued and unmarked. Note that the grip safety may have been replaced as the finish is far nicer than the rest of the pistol.
