3/1/24 – This is a Colt Model 1860 Army Revolver from 1863, chambered in .44 Caliber. It is all matching except for the ejector rod, which is a replacement. The barrel wedge fits very loose in the gun, and the ejector rod does not work properly (gets jammed). The naval engagement scene on the cylinder is still partially intact but hard to see. Overall, the gun is in fair condition, but there is obvious spotty oxidation and pitting throughout. There is some surface rust on the ejector rod. Fitted with period-correct wood grips – faint cartouches on both sides. For its age, the bore has decent rifling, but there is obvious spotty surface oxidation throughout.
