2/5/2024 – Up for listing is a K98k made by Steyr during WW2. This rifle was captured by the Russians and was refurbished by them. The metal of the rifle had a dark black paint applied to it and the stocks had a lacquer applied to them. The receiver denotes a Russian capture with a “X” stamped above the serial number. The rifle is matching for Russian Capture standards on the receiver, bolt, and stock. The bolt was force matched to the receiver. The bore is dark with brightness underneath so it should clean up better with a proper cleaning.
