4/1/22 – This is an original 1942 Mauser K98 rifle. The rifle is a great wartime example in very good overall condition and fully functional. The rifle is all matching, including the hand guard and stock, except for the bolt assembly. There is also a small screw on the floorplate that’s mismatching as well, but this is minor. The metal ahs some mild finish loss and thinning throughout but no rust or pitting. The bore has strong rifling and is shiny with minor frosting in the grooves but no major flaws.
