10/6/20 – This is a beautiful Nazi Mauser K98 rifle from 1940 with an original bayonet, scabbard and frog. All numbered parts are matching, including the trigger group, bolt assembly, stock, barrel, receiver, bands and buttplate. It’s even got the original, numbered screws. The bluing is generally in excellent condition with most wear or patina along the front sight or high edges of the receiver, but we do believe the finish on the trigger group was touched up. Excellent stock with several crisp waffenamts and clearly matching numbers. The takedown ring is stamped ‘O.32177’ which could indicate it was potentially naval hardware intended for use in the Baltic Sea. Minty bore and an original sling is present. The bayonet is in excellent condition with mismatched blade/scabbard. Blade is E.U.F. Horster maker marked. Also included is an original cleaning rod and sight hood.
