8/4/22 – This is a very nice example of an Arisaka Type 44 rifle issued to the Japanese military for WW2. The gun is mismatched with the bolt group and dust cover not matching the receiver and the imperial mum has been defaced and grinded away. There is very little finish loss overall on the rifle but their is patina and oxidation throughout. The wooden stock is in good condition overall showing minor handling wear throughout and shallow nicks here and there. The rifle includes the original folding bayonet and a original leather sling. Overall the rifle is in very nice condition. The bore shows okay rifling but has oxidation and frosting throughout.
