3/7/23 – This is a nice example of an AC 41 Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1941. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 359” military acceptance proofs throughout, even on the small parts. It comes as a rig with an excellent 1942-dated hard shell holster and an un-dated “Eagle 88” marked Spreewerk magazine. Scratched very lightly on the lid of the holster is a GI’s name, last 4 digits of his GI number, the word “Berlin”, and an illegible date (presumably where and when he captured it). The gun itself has retained roughly 65% of its original high polish finish. There is obvious wear throughout, concentrated mostly along the sides of the slide, on the front strap, and around the muzzle. Fitted with an excellent set of “Eagle 359” proofed Walther grips. The bore has good rifling with minor frosting throughout. De-cocker is functional.
