9/6/23 – This is a very nice example of an AC 44 Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 359” military acceptance proofs throughout. It has retained about 90% of its original wartime finish. The majority of the finish loss is on the front strap, so the profile views are excellent. Fitted with period-correct blackish-brown bakelite grips and comes with a proper “Eagle 359” marked Walther magazine. Very nice bore with strong rifling and just very minor frosting in the grooves. De-cocker is functional.
