8/4/23 – This is a very nice example of a Springfield M1 Garand. The serial number on the receiver dates to about October of 1944. Springfield-marked barrel dated November of 1944. National Match marked op rod. The left side of the stock has a “SA SPG” inspection stamp and a cross-canon cartouche. The metal parts have retained about 95% of their finish There is just minor wear around the muzzle and on the high edges in general. A few small spots of oxidation on the receiver and floor plate. The wood stock has minor dings and scratches throughout and a few more noticeable gouges on the left side. Mint bore. Muzzle reading: 1. Throat reading: 0.
