10/11/18 – This is a fantastic Nazi K98 sniper rifle with long side rail. Made in 1944 at the Gustloff-Werke factory, the rifle itself is all matching and in minty original condition, though the stock appears to have been lightly sanded. It comes with an original sight hood, muzzle cap, cleaning rod, and Carl Zeiss Jena scope. The scope lens caps and scope mount are post-war reproductions. The rifle shows very minor signs of use, and has a minty bore. Stock is matching numbers to the receiver, as is the handguard. Scope has crystal clear optics. In summary, we assume this to be a “put together” sniper rifle, with original base rifle but scope added with repro mount.
