3/28/22 – This is a nice example of an Ithaca Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1944. It is “United States Property” marked, has the proper “FJA” inspection stamp, and has the cross-canon military cartouche on the right side of the frame. High Standard barrel. The gun has retained about 92-93% of its parkerized finish. There are light scratches, scuffs, and tiny dots of discoloration throughout. It is most noticeable on the underside of the frame, front strap, and on along all sides of the slide. Comes with excellent period-correct plastic grips and one period-correct “R” marked magazine. Excellent bore with strong rifling.
