9/19/23 – This is a very nice example of a BYF 43 Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1943. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 135” military acceptance proofs. It comes as a rig with an un-issued 1944-dated pebble grain holster and two “Eagle 135” marked Mauser magazines. The gun itself has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its original finish. The majority of the finish loss is on the front strap, but there is also minor muzzle wear, wear on the high edges of the slide, and some very light scratches on the right side of the slide. Fitted with excellent period-correct black bakelite grips. Very nice bore with great rifling. De-cocker is functional.
