6/2/23 – This is a nice example of an AC 42 Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1942. All matching with the proper “Eagle 359” military acceptance proofs throughout. It comes as a rig with a nice hard shell holster (no visible date) and an “Eagle 359” marked Walther magazine. The gun itself has retained roughly 65% of its original bluing. The finish on the frame has a nice plum tint to it. The majority of the finish loss is on the front strap and along the barrel, where there is also some light spotty oxidation. Very light pin-pricking on both sides of the slide. Fitted with excellent blackish-brown bakelite grips. The bore has good rifling with very minor pin-pricking throughout. De-cocker is functional.
