12/3/21 – This is a nice example of a Beretta Model 1934 issued to the Royal Italian Army in 1942. The gun is all matching and has the proper “Crown RE” Italian military acceptance proof on the left side of the tang. It comes as a rig with an excellent canvas holster and two period-correct magazines. The gun has retained roughly 85% of its original high polish finish. There is minor wear concentrated around the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. There is an area of thinning on the right side of the slide. A spot of wear on the left side of the frame, below the safety. There is thinning and spotty oxidation on both grip straps. The finish loss is most noticeable on the front strap, the back strap has more oxidation. Comes with excellent period-correct grips. The bore has good rifling, but there is pin-pricking throughout and some areas of minor pitting.
