7/16/24 – This is an original 1942 dated hard shell p.38 holster. This holster is in excellent condition with a nice dark brown leather that has a couple minor single wrinkles on the bottom of the closure flap and toe as seen in the photos. The holster has good pliability and has held most of its original shape. The interior of the holster is very clean with a waffen ink stamp. The backside of the holster is maker marked and dated, “gyo 42” as well as what I believe to be a Waffen 88 or 68, as the numbers are a little difficult to make out. P.38 is also stamped on the right side. All stitching appears to be intact and original.
