12/1/22 – This is a minty example of a BYF 42 “Black Widow” Mauser Luger issued to the Nazi military in 1942. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 135” military acceptance proofs. It comes fitted with a set of original black bakelite “Black Widow” grips – excellent condition. It comes as a complete rig with an excellent 1942-dated “Waffen 195” proofed holster, a rare “Eagle 135” Luger tool, and two original Black Widow magazines. The holster has what appears to be a circular proof with a Nazi Eagle in the middle. There is writing around the outside – we can only read “Der Chef Der…” which loosely translates to “the boss of..” or “the chief of…”. We weren’t able to find any more information but the stamp appears to be original. The gun itself has retained roughly 97% of its original finish with areas of minor wear around the muzzle, on the side plate, and on the side rails. The bore is excellent – shiny with very strong rifling.
