11/22/17 – This is an extremely scarce 1940 dated P.38 holster. The back leather is maker stamped and dated, along with a waffen eagle WaA286 and P.38 stamp. The leather has some light wrinkling in the front leather especially near the toe. This is normal aging and not excessive by any means. Overall the leather is excellent, given how early the holster is and how most early P.38 holsters are very worn. The biggest flaw on this holster is the lift strap is missing. Appears someone intentionally removed it. The other minor issue on this holster is that the metal closure loop on the front of the holster wiggles slightly. The loop is still attached though and doesn’t seem like it’s about to fall of or break. The price is adjusted accordingly. Guaranteed original.
