6/28/22 – This is a nice example of a Mauser Luger issued to the Nazi military in 1936. Proper “S/42” Mauser factory code on the toggle. The gun is all matching, has the proper “Eagle 63” military acceptance proofs, and comes with one original matching-numbered magazine. The gun itself has retained only roughly 25% of its original bluing. There is noticeable finish loss and tiny dots of oxidation throughout. Most of the remaining bluing is on both sides of the frame. There are some small areas with tiny pits on the left side of the barrel and on the side plate. Most of the straw coloring on the small parts has worn away. Comes with excellent un-numbered wood grips. The rifling in the bore is just a little worn with very light frosting throughout.
