8/15/23 – This is an original WW2 production Luger holster. The holster is maker stamped by C. Heinichen, 1936 dated, and waffen military proof stamped on the back leather. The maker marking is faint, but still visible. The holster has been modified for a shoulder strap of some sort, with two added slits in the top of the back leather, just below the stitching for the holster lid. These look like intentional cuts in the leather. The rest of the leather is in great condition and completely original. Normal pliability and light surface wrinkling and aging. There’s a small cut above the left belt loop on the back leather, but this doesn’t go completely through the leather. The stitching is all original and in great shape.
