4/7/22 – This is an excellent example of a Nambu Type 14 issued to the Japanese military in June of 1935. The gun is all matching and has retained about 97% of its finish. There is some light spotty wear along the left side of the barrel and one small spot of wear on the underside of the trigger guard. While there is very little actual finish loss, there are areas of tiny freckling throughout, most noticeable on the left side of the slide and on both grip straps. Comes with very nice wood grips that are hand-numbered on the inside to match the gun. Also comes with a period-correct magazine that does not match the gun. Excellent shiny bore with strong rifling. There is some dark discoloration at the tip of the safety lever. This may have been touched up or just be oxidation – we can’t say for sure.
