6/8/22 – This is a nice example of an Enfield SMLE III rifle issued to the British military in 1918. The gun is all matching, but the bolt and magazine have been re-numbered to match – likely done at an arsenal. The numbering on the stock is faint and hard to read, but it does not appear to be matching. Faint import mark on the right side of the receiver. There is some thinning, discoloration, and light scratchy wear around the muzzle and some minor thinning on the right side plate. There are minor dings and scratches on the stock throughout. The stock appears to have been lightly sanded. The bore has decent rifling with minor pin-pricking throughout.
