8/6/24 – This is a nice example of an Erfurt Luger issued to the Imperial German military in 1917. All matching with Imperial military proofs, Erfurt proofs, and “Crown RC” proofs throughout. Its finish rates roughly 80-85%. The majority of the finish loss is on the grip straps, but there is also general high edge wear, and area of finish loss with tiny pits on the barrel. The left grip is matching-numbered and Erfurt-proofed. The right side is mismatched, fairly worn, and fits a bit loosely. Comes with a mismatched magazine. The bore has decent rifling, but there is pitting throughout.
