10/7/2024 – For sale is a French Contract Remington Berthier MLE 1907-15 that was produced as aid to the French Army during WW1. This rifle was likely one of the batches that were rejected by French inspectors for quality that did not meet their standards as there are no proofs or cartouches. The rifle is in clean condition overall with spots of finish loss visible. The metal retains a nice military blue finish but there are spots of finish loss on the barrel bands. The front barrel band has spots of oxidation, as well as some marks on the right side of the receiver near the barrel. The stock is in great condition but there are some pressure marks and dings visible in the photos. The bore is bright but gets darker at the muzzle.
