07/17/2024 – For sale is a Springfield M1 Garand that was produced prior to the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. The rifle is in clean condition overall and the parkerized finish is worn smooth. The stock is clean and free of cracks but has been sanded. The bore is bright to towards the chamber but there is pitting visible at the muzzle. The parts are nearly drawing # correct for August of 1941, but there are some parts, like the trigger housing and safety, that have Springfield Armory parts from 1942. The gas cylinder assembly is unmarked when it should have a drawing #. The muzzle erosion on the rifle rates a 6 and the Throat erosion a 2.
