7/21/23 – This is a Parker Bros double barrel break action shotgun manufactured in 1889. The gun is matching on the trigger guard and underside of the forend. Featuring Damascus barrels and detailed engraving work on the wood and metal. The gun has retained roughly 65-70% of its original finish, with the barrels showing some discoloration and brown patina throughout. There is also finish loss on the trigger guard, and some spotty wear and discoloration on the action, side plates, and butt plate. The top of the barrel is marked “Parker Bros Makers. Meriden Conn. Twist.” On the bottom it’s stamped “PAT MAR 23 1875” and “PATD MAR 26 1878.” The stock is excellent with fine checkering and minimal handling marks on it. 30in barrel. The bore shows minor frost and a little bit of freckling. Action locks up fine and triggers are crisp.
