2/5/24 – This is a set of 2 hardcover volumes, very lightly used in the original box / sleeve. The box exterior has some mild surface scratches and a few imperfections, but overall these books are in excellent condition. This book set was conceived to celebrate the 125-year anniversary of Carl Walther GmbH. A successful German company that had its beginnings in the 19th century as a gunsmith workshop.
Volume One: The History of Walther Firearms
Volume one of these Walther books on the history of Walther addresses the origin of the Walther family business. The roots can be traced back to the 18th century, through the reigns of kings and emperors, two world wars, the total dismantling of the business in Zella-Mehlis, and the re-establishment in Ulm, Germany. It contains an overview of the events that occurred in the early 1990s, which brought the hand of fate in leading the Walther Company to merge with the Umarex Group.
Volume Two: Walther Arms Yesterday and Today
Volume two begins with the change of management in 1993 and is dedicated to the dynamic advances made by Walther in the world market. You’ll read about the creative new Walther gun models and innovative promotions that firmly positioned them in the new century.
